Article 1: purpose
This contract is intended exclusively for the reservation of stays in bed and breakfast and lodging at La Maison de Julia, 28, rue du Capitaine Julia, 81000 Albi (France). The owner undertakes to personally ensure the reception of guests by providing them all the information needed for their stay in the House of Julia and in the region.
Article 2: length of stay
The Customer acknowledges and expressly agrees that the rental services provided by the Lessor are for a limited and determined period of time, and may not be extended under any circumstances without the prior consent of the owner.
Article 3: reservation
The Customer can make a reservation by telephone or by email with the management or directly from the website of La Maison de Julia (email@example.com). In all 3 cases, the reservation becomes effective when it has been confirmed to the Customer by management, by email or sms, and a deposit of 30% of the total amount of the reservation has been made according to the conditions of the Article 5.
Article 4: no cancellation period
For reservations made by mail, telephone or internet, the customer does not benefit from the cancellation period (in accordance with article L121-20-4 of the Consumer Code).
Article 5: down payment
The final reservation is subject to prior payment of a deposit of thirty percent (30%) of the total amount of the stay, all taxes included (TTC). Payment of this deposit can be made by check (French bank), bank transfer, Carte Bleue, Visa card or Mastercard. The Lessor will confirm to the customer his reservation when he is in possession of the deposit. The deposit will be cashed upon receipt by management to validate the reservation and deducted from the final bill due by the Customer at the end of the stay.
Article 6: cancellation by the client
Any cancellation must be notified by letter or email (firstname.lastname@example.org). a) Cancellation before the start of the stay: if the cancellation occurs more than 8 calendar days before the beginning of the stay, the Lessor agrees to refund the full amount of the deposit. If it occurs 8 days or less than 8 calendar days before the beginning of the stay, the deposit is non-refundable and management reserves the right to claim the balance of the price of the stay. b) Arrival after 19h: If the client does not appear before 19 hours the day of the beginning of the stay, this contract becomes void and management can dispose of the reserved room in the bed and breakfast. The deposit is non-refundable and management reserves the right to claim the balance of the price of the stay. c) In case of shortened stay, the price corresponding to the initial days of stay must be paid in full.
Article 7: cancellation by the owner
If, before the beginning of the stay, the management is compelled to cancel the reservation, management must immediately inform the client by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt. The customer will then immediately receive a full refund of the sums he has already paid. He will also receive compensation equal to the penalty he would have incurred if the cancellation had been made by him on that date.
Article 8: Arrival and departure
Arrival: The client must appear on the specified day and at the times mentioned on the reservation. Arrivals are between 16h until 19h. In case of late arrival or postponed arrival, the customer must inform the owner by telephone 33 (0)6 42 18 62 81 as soon as possible. Departure : The Customer will have to vacate the room or the gîte by 11am at the latest.
Article 9: price
The stated price of the rooms and the gite includes all taxes, except for the tourist tax which amounts to 0.80 € per person per night for the rooms and 2.50 € per person per night for the gite. Breakfast: The price includes breakfast for the guest rooms. The price of the gite however does not include breakfast. The fact of not having breakfast does not give right to any reduction in price of the gite.
Extra beds: Additional beds or cribs may be installed by management in certain rooms, at its sole discretion. These extra beds (cribs) are free for babies up to 3 years old. For children 3 – 17 years old, the extra bed is charged 15 euros per night. There is no capacity for extra adults (over the stated maximum) in the guest rooms. Payment of the balance: The balance of the invoice and any additional services and tourist tax are to be paid by the Customer on the day of departure. Means of payment: Payment can be made by check (French bank only), cash or credit card (Carte Bleue, VISA, Mastercard).
Article 10: occupancy of the rooms
The Customer is expressly informed that the rooms and the lodging proposed by management are designed for a precise and determined number of people. The number of people occupying the room / gîte is clearly specified when booking. If the number of guests exceeds this number, the owner is able to deny additional persons. Subject to the approval of the Owner, extra beds or beds can be installed by the latter in some rooms. No outside guests are accepted, either in the rooms / cottage, garden or pool.
Article 11: use of the premises
The client agrees to respect the quiet of the premises, to respect the privacy, tranquility and safety of all occupants of the House of Julia (customers and owners). No meals can be taken in the rooms. The client agrees to return the room / cottage in perfect condition at the end of the stay, to systematically declare and to assume financially any damage for which the renter is responsible. It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the rooms and the cottage, as well as in the common areas of Julia’s House. An outdoor area is reserved for this purpose.
Article 12: animals
Animals are not accepted within the establishment, except by express agreement of management and agreed to before the start of the stay. If accepted, there will be a supplemental charge.
Article 13: minors
Minors staying on the property are under the sole and complete responsibility of their parents or adult persons having authority over them.
Article 14: Personal property
The personal property of the Client is placed under his sole and entire responsibility Management accepts no liability for loss, theft and / or damage or injury to property and / or persons on the property, for any reason.
Article 15: swimming pool
The pool is open every day from 9am to 7pm. Access and use of the swimming pool are exclusively reserved for the Clients and the client accepts full responsibility and swims at his/her own risk. Minors wishing to access the swimming pool must be accompanied by their parents or an adult with authority over them, who are solely and exclusively responsible for their supervision and safety.
